State-of the-art equipment, 3-D computer software, experienced professionals, and more than 50 years' experience enables Caplugs to quickly and economically custom design product solutions for just about any application.

Equipment

The CIM computer monitored injection-molding presses (7 to 400 tons), automated loading systems, and the latest in dip-molding profile extrusion machines help Caplugs to quickly process both high and lower volume production requests. With our new equipment, we can produce everything from small, high precision parts to those 18" in diameter. And, we house CNC Turning, Milling, and Electrical Discharge Machining (EDM) centers in-house to apply the same to high quality tooling. To help meet the exacting tolerances and specifications our customers demand, we also have a state-of-the-art laser micrometer that ensures the highest measurement accuracy repeatable to +/- 0.0002 inches.

Design & Development

Caplugs has been leading the design of plastic protection products for years - experience that serves our customers well. Our expert engineering department can assist with product design, work from a print or sketch, copy an existing part, and deliver a prototype for testing.

Prototyping & Tooling

Using CAD technology, our tooling department can produce prototypes in five to seven days, and tooling within three to four weeks, depending on the job. Using this same Rapid Prototyping process, our engineers can build a prototype according to your design. With Rapid Prototyping, guesswork is eliminated for fast project turnaround. And, with Caplugs' fast response to new designs and last-minute changes, you can completely inspect, modify and approve prototypes in time for deadlines.

Custom Solutions
From design and prototyping to tooling and production, we have full in-house custom capabilities.

Rapid prototyping using Solidworks 3D modeling and stereo lithography is used to provide customers with realistic models and prototypes in just days.

The Big and Small of It

Larger tonnage machines (up to 610 ton) allow us to make larger parts and larger volume runs more efficiently and often times orders that other manufacturers can’t handle.

State-of-the-art measuring equipment like our Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) and Vision Inspection System (VIS) help us to ensure the highest levels of quality for our customers with measurement accuracy repeatable to +/- .0002 inches.
