Caplugs has been injection molding plastic since 1948. More than 60 years of experience has made Caplugs the industry leader in producing quality parts at a competitive price. Caplugs operates molding machines ranging from 7 to 600 tons. Our quick-change procedures result in low tooling costs and ultimately lower part costs. Caplugs' interchangeable molding system allows seamless transfer of jobs, promising our customers the fastest turnaround time in the industry.

Dip- Molding

Automated vinyl dip-molding lines produce thousands of parts in a variety of shapes, sizes and colors. This process offers great versatility allowing us to dip parts to your desired length without requiring additional tooling. Our state-of-the-art molding lines allows us to produce multiple jobs with different tooling and colors on the same run, allowing us greater flexibility. When customized tooling is required, our internal tool room can produce it quickly and economically.

Vinyl Coating

Use Caplugs' coating process to add durable and attractive vinyl coating to any metal or heat - resistant product. Vinyl coatings provide functionality, product protection, and a finished appearance. Once applied, the vinyl coating will not slip or move, making it ideal for use on wheelchair rims, exercise equipment grips and safety rails.Apply durable UV-resistant coatings to lawn/garden tools, medical instrument, and more. Choose from thousands of colors and finishes to improve your product and offer ergonomic qualities such as better gripping and cushioning for added comfort. Caplugs offers vinyl coating at both East and West Coast facilities, ensuring the most economical shipping costs.

Extrusion

Caplugs extrusion lines produce tubing, netting, edge liners and other profiles. The extruder can cut to desired length in-line, ensuring a quick turnaround time. For round extrusions, we use a planetary cutter for a clean edge. For our non-round extrusions, we have an in-line fly cutter. Depending upon the nature of the product, it can be cut in-line or run in spools like our Sleeve-web plastic netting. We extrude PETG, LDPE, HDPE, Polypro, PVC and conductive materials.

Die-Cutting

Caplugs' state-of-the-art die-cutting process can cut any geometry up to 60" x 120." From a simple Solidworks CAD, jpeg or pdf file, we can produce a detailed die-cut product. Our die-cutting process requires no tooling, resulting in cost effective product that can be produced with nominal lead times. We stock several standard materials, but can bring in alternative materials to fit your needs.

Stock materials include:

  • Adhesive and non-adhesive high-density polyethylene
  • Polyolefin composite board
  • Dual durometer material with soft cushioning on one side and rigid impact - resistant material on the other side
  • Plastic netting
  • A flexible rubber polyolefin mix
