As we celebrate Customer Service Week (October 6-10, 2025), we're recognizing team members who exemplify these qualities every day, like Customer Service Representative Abigail B., who serves our Mexico territory and international customers with dedication and expertise. 

"I like to help customers. I love to work with them, teach them about our parts and to help them protect their products in the right way," said Abigail.

Serving Customers In Mexico & Beyond

In her role as Customer Service Representative for Mexico, Abigail manages customer service interactions for the Mexico territory while also providing support for international customers.

Abigail handles incoming phone calls through the Mexico phone line queue and manages incoming chats that come through the Caplugs Mexico website. This multi-channel approach ensures that whether customers prefer to call or chat online, they receive the same high level of service and expertise.

Navigating Common Challenges

Customer inquiries in the Mexico territory often involve specific technical and logistical considerations that require both product knowledge and international expertise. Abigail has developed efficient processes to address these varied needs.

"Customers will typically call to discuss different sizes of product we have available, whether that be a cap or a plug," said Abigail. "We can help the customer place an order, we also assist with tracking and invoices. Mexico customers will require international documents, so we help with all of that as well."

Problem-Solving Under Pressure

One of Abigail's greatest strengths is her ability to find solutions when customers face urgent needs. In industries like medical and automotive, delays can have serious consequences, making quick thinking and creative problem-solving essential.

"We will often get customers that call us and need parts as soon as possible, so we do our best to cut down on lead times for them," Abigail noted.

A recent example illustrates her approach. A customer called needing a specific part immediately to complete their project, but the exact item they requested wasn't available for immediate shipment. Rather than simply informing them of the delay, Abigail took action.

"I helped them find a similar part that was the same size with a different color. This is the one part that they needed to complete their project—if that part isn't available or it's a particular color we don’t currently have, we step in and give them a solution and present them with options. Whether that be a different color or a similar part with similar dimensions, we can help them keep their project on track," Abigail explained. "We will send them the dimensions of that part so they know what they're getting before they make a purchase."

The Bigger Picture

What drives Abigail's dedication to customer service is her understanding of the broader impact of the work Caplugs does. While caps and plugs might seem like small components, they play critical roles in protecting products across vital industries.

"Even though it's a small cap or plug, it can really help with a lot of things and can really play an important role in important industries," said Abigail. "So I'm really proud to be a small part of their success."
