As Sales Operations & Business Development Manager at Caplugs Canada, Junelle A. plays a vital role in finding customers the solutions they need while helping to strengthen internal processes and company growth.
From leading sales operations and supporting customer service, to driving special projects like the launch of Caplugs Canada's ecommerce platform, Junelle helps ensure that our Canadian team delivers the same high-quality service and efficiency that Caplugs is known for worldwide.
Since joining Caplugs Canada in 2019, Junelle has taken on roles that have positioned her to support both customers and internal teams, and uses her professional experience to strengthen processes and customer relationships.
On a given day, she can be found helping her customer service team with inquiries, pricing and order requests, while guiding the overall direction of her teams.
In every role she's held, Junelle has emphasized the importance of clear and direct communication.
“If a problem comes up, I don't believe in waiting on long email chains. Picking up the phone or meeting face to face often gets to the heart of the issue faster and builds trust," Junelle said. “At the end of the day, customers want to know they're being heard.”
She's particularly passionate about this direct approach when issues arise.
“Especially if there is a customer issue, it's about getting to the bottom of it right away,” said Junelle. “You'll get things through email and hear things down the line, but nothing honestly beats either a face-to-face interaction or a phone call.”
Beyond daily operations, Junelle plays a key role in strategic projects, including the launch of Caplugs Canada's ecommerce site, which will provide customers with faster, easier access to the products they need, while doubling our Canadian product offering.
“With projects like our ecommerce launch, I get to provide the Canadian perspective and ensure our customers here have the tools and access they need," said Junelle. “It's rewarding to know that my input helps shape how we serve customers.”
Junelle also values the collaboration that has come with the project, and with being part of Caplugs' global network.
“There’s been a lot of interacting with the global teams and even our consultants outside of our Canadian office, working with them on different projects like this one and collaborating toward the same end goal, that is really valuable,” she noted.
Junelle credits her colleagues with helping her build the vast industry knowledge she has today.
“Honestly, it's being able to still speak to those who were in this position previously or other Caplugs employees who are in similar positions and can provide advice.” She particularly values the support from her coworker who previously held her position and still works within the company. "She's one Teams message away if I have a question,” Junelle added.
She also regularly connects with her U.S. counterparts who handle inside sales, and sales operations.
“I've learned quite a bit from the U.S. team. It's just having people who are great and honestly just easy to work with, because they're dealing with the same challenges too,” Junelle added.
Despite being a smaller team based out of Brampton, Ontario, Junelle is proud of the impact Caplugs Canada has made on the company and how they help with the overall growth of the business.
“Between front office staff, salespeople and warehouse, we're a smaller team here,” Junelle noted. “But we’re really part of a larger network and we are fortunate to have the support of the teams in Buffalo, Erie, California, Mexico, Europe, Australia, China and so on."
This global connection is something she values deeply. “It makes us feel like we're not alone up here. We're part of a greater company and we're not existing on our own.”
